Apollo appoints new NED in growth strategy

London-based independent specialist re/insurer  Apollo Syndicate Management has appointed a new non-executive director as it continues to build and grow its underwriting platform trading at Lloyd’s.

Farah Buckley has 19 years of experience within financial services, with a deep understanding of M&A, risk and corporate finance. She is a non-executive board member at iHybrid, an ePOS tech start-up, and was previously head of investment solutions at Hermes GPE, the independent global private markets investor.

David Ibeson, chief executive of Apollo Group, said: “We are delighted to welcome Farah to the board. Her business acumen and experience in growth and investment strategy will be invaluable to Apollo as we continue to build and grow a first-class privately owned underwriting platform trading at Lloyd’s.”
