Apollo unveils management agency leadership

Apollo Syndicate Management, Apollo’s newly formed managing agency, has unveiled its leadership.

David Ibeson has been appointed chief executive officer (CEO) of the managing agency. Ibeson currently serves as CEO of Apollo Syndicate 1969.

Additionally, Nicholas Jones has been appointed director of underwriting and James MacDiarmid has been appointed finance director.

Philip Ellis has been appointed chief risk officer and Simon White has been appointed claims director.

The disclosure on the Lloyd’s website also confirmed that Julian Cusack has been named non-executive chairman and Anthony Hulse, Jayne Owen and Sven Althoff have been appointed non-executive directors.

Apollo’s application to be authorised as an independent managing agent was approved by the PRA and Lloyd’s during July 2015 and the management of Syndicate 1969 transferred from ANV to Apollo Syndicate Management on August 1, 2015.
