Arch Insurance poaches E&S property leader from Beazley

Arch Insurance Group, part of Bermuda-based re/insurer  Arch Capital, has bolstered its excess & surplus lines (E&S) business with the hiring of a senior property specialist from Beazley.

Joe Morrello (pictured) joined Arch Insurance as senior vice president (SVP) of E&S property in February.

Most recently, Morrello was head of E&S property and US high value homeowners (HVH) at Beazley, where he served for over five years.

Prior to that, he was SVP property at AXIS Capital, overseeing growth and profitability of US property portfolio in the middle market segment of engineered US risks.

Morrello also worked with Beazley back in 2006 for more than six years as regional underwriting manager for Eastern and Southern regions in the US where he was responsible for the build out of admitted commercial property product line.
