Argo appoints new leader for Italian specialty unit
Bermuda-based specialty re/insurer Argo Group International Holdings, has appointed Giovanni Tucci as managing director of Ariscom, an Italian specialty insurer recently acquired by Argo Group.
Tucci has more than three decades of industry experience. He joins Argo from Intesa Sanpaolo Assicura, where he served as technical director, responsible for driving profitability across all business lines; managing product development, pricing and underwriting policy; and launching the business’s SME unit.
Prior to that, Tucci spent 13 years with AXA Group, in a number of executive roles in distribution, marketing, underwriting and operations in Italy and the Mediterranean region.
Tucci will report to Matt Harris, head of Europe, Middle East and Asia.
