Ariel Re lures TMR's Kelly to strengthen credit and financial product lines
Ariel Re, a subsidiary of Bermuda-based Argo Group, has appointed Sean Kelly to the newly-created role of senior vice president, specialty underwriter, credit and financial products.
Kelly is the latest recruit from Tokio Millennium Re after David Martin and Stephen O’Flynn, who joined Ariel Re in the past two months.
Most recently, Kelly served as the portfolio manager and underwriter, credit and financial products at Tokio Millennium Re.
He will report to Stephen O’Flynn, newly-appointed head of professional lines and casualty treaty underwriting – Bermuda at Ariel Re.
Matthew Wilken, deputy global head of reinsurance, said: “Sean has an enviable track record of managing global underwriting and modeling activities in credit and financial products. Lines under his management have consistently outperformed the market. His extensive experience in establishing new ways of analyzing, modeling and managing risk will be central in achieving Ariel Re’s long-term goals. We look forward to welcoming Sean to the team.”
