Ascent hires claims director from Tokio Marine Kiln

Ascent Underwriting, a specialist managing general agent (MGA) underwriting on behalf of a number of Lloyd’s Syndicates, has appointed Mark Bowers as claims director with immediate effect.

In his new role, Bowers will report to Ascent's CEO David Umbers, and be responsible for maintaining and developing the company's claims service.

Bowers joins Ascent from Tokio Marine Kiln where he served as head of financial and professional risks. His areas of expertise include international coverage disputes, technical claims and business transformation projects.

"We are extremely pleased to welcome a professional of Mark’s calibre to our growing team," said Umbers. "As Ascent continues to expand its underwriting proposition it is paramount that claims excellence is maintained. Mark’s expertise and technical ability will advance our first-rate client service and strengthen our exceptional claims proposition."
