Ascot hires inland marine head from Markel
Specialist re/insurer Ascot has appointed Jeff Vetter as executive vice president and head of inland marine. He joins from Markel where he led their inland marine division.
Based in Atlanta, Vetter will be tasked with building an inland marine practice taking advantage of both the admitted and E&S capabilities of Ascot Insurance US.
Greg Wolyniec, president and CEO of Ascot Insurance US, said: “Jeff is a highly respected leader in his class of business. His relationships with brokers and knowledge of the sector will allow Ascot to enter with a market leading set of products.
“Jeff’s division will complement our Ocean Marine business as we continue to grow in the US by hiring best in class talent.”
Vetter added: “It’s exciting to be back at a relationship based underwriting company working with retail and wholesale partners across the US”
