Aspen follows AXIS recruit with Liberty cyber underwriter in London
Aspen Insurance has hired an experienced cyber and errors and omissions (E&O) underwriter for its London-based cyber team, which is headed by Mauro Signorelli.
Amie Watson is currently a cyber and technology underwriter at Liberty Specialty Market (LSM) and is expected to join Aspen in May. She has previously worked at XL Catlin and Aviva in similar roles and was an E&O broker at Lockton and Willis.
Watson's appointment follows that of Delvin Tillet who joined Aspen Insurance’s London cyber team as an underwriter in early January from AXIS. He was previously underwriting at MGA Ascent.
Aspen Insurance’s cyber team is run globally, and is headed up by US-based Josh Ladeau, global head of technology E&O and cyber.
“Cyber insurance is a growth line of business for us and we are delighted to welcome two individuals of the calibre of Amie and Delvin to Aspen Insurance," an Aspen spokesperson told Intelligent Insurer. "We have considerable strength-in-depth within our cyber team globally and when Amie joins us in May, we will have a team of six in London.”
