Aspen poaches Liberty exec for energy and construction role

Aspen Insurance, the insurance segment of Aspen Insurance Holdings, has appointed Daniel Murphy as senior vice president (SVP) of energy and construction.

Reporting to Robert Rokicki, head of onshore energy & construction for the Americas, Murphy will be based in Chicago and will focus on driving growth across the US.

Murphy has nearly 30 years of experience as a chemical engineer and underwriter. He joins Aspen from Liberty International Underwriters (LIU), where he was vice president, focusing on energy, power generation, construction, and heavy industry.

Rokicki said: "Dan's deep technical understanding aligns well with Aspen's approach to delivering value to the specialty energy &construction market.  I am delighted to welcome him to Aspen."
