Aspen Re draws ex-AXIS to lead professional lines in US
Aspen Re, the reinsurance segment of Aspen Insurance Holdings, has hired AXIS Re's Ana Cifuentes as head of professional lines for Aspen Re America.
Based in New York, Cifuentes will be responsible for building and growing a professional lines product offering for Aspen Re America. She will report to Jim Brown, head of ARA casualty.
Cifuentes was most recently deputy head of business development & innovation, senior vice president at AXIS Re Global from 2016 to 2018, where she led the implementation of the organisation’s customer relationship management model. She also managed and developed key large global professional liability accounts.
Prior to that, Cifuentes was senior vice president, US professional liability underwriting at AXIS Re US, based in New York from 2009 to 2016. She also served as vice president, European casualty underwriting at AXIS Re Europe, based in Zurich from 2005 to 2008. She began her career as a European casualty underwriter at Gerling Global Re in Madrid.
