Asta snares former Antares transformation officer as an independent NED

Asta, the third-party managing agent at Lloyd’s, has appointed Stephen Redmond to the board of  Asta Managing Agency (AMA) as an independent non-executive director.

Redmond joins from Antares/QIC Global where he served as active underwriter, managing director and most recently, chief transformation officer. He helped establish Antares as an independent Lloyd’s underwriting business in 2008 and led the formation of the Lloyd’s managing agency in 2010.

Prior to the formation of Antares in 2007, Redmond held a number of senior underwriting roles.

Paul Jardine, chairman of AMA, said Redmond’s “strong underwriting knowledge and expertise will be an invaluable addition as Asta continues to bolster its market-leading position for building and managing underwriting businesses at Lloyd’s.”
