Aston Lark’s Rackley joins Society of Insurance Broking board

Suzi Rackley, a client director at  Aston Lark, has joined the board at the Society of Insurance Broking (SIB).

Rackley joined Aston Lark in 2008 to set up a new division of private clients in Hampshire, UK. She started her insurance career as a relationship manager in 1991, working for a small high street broker as a filing clerk. Since then her career has taken her to Bowring Marsh McLennan for four years and Chubb for another four, before she joined Aon Private Clients, spending five years as manager of the relationship management team.

SIB is a community of practice for insurance broking professionals that aims to raise the levels of professional knowledge and technical competence, and to assist members in their personal career development at all levels of experience.

Rackley praised it as a great platform for brokers that offers fantastic opportunities to network, improve knowledge and share experiences. “I am particularly looking forward to raising the profile of personal lines,” she added. “We don’t have a big enough voice in the insurance market as a whole, yet we are in control of protecting our clients most important and valuable assets.”

Kevin Hancock, SIB’s chair, highlighted Rackley’s experience and ability to achieve the best outcomes for clients with demanding and complex needs, particularly in the consumer space. “Her knowledge will be invaluable as we continue to raise the levels of professional knowledge and technical competence amongst our members,” he said.
