Atradius installs its own man to run recently acquired Graydon

Atradius, the credit insurance and surety company, has appointed one of its senior managers to run Graydon, a business solutions firm it acquired in September, as it seeks a closer commercial collaboration between the companies.

Gertjan Kampman, a senior management member of Atradius, will become the new CEO, effective from January 2017.

He replaces Marcel van Es, who has been responsible for Graydon since May 2012.

Kampman has worked for Atradius since 2002 and is currently the director of financial control. Atradius acquired 55 percent of Graydon in September; it already owned the other 45 percent.

Kampman said: “Marcel van Es has initiated an important transition at Graydon to make the company ready for the future and it has always been a pleasure to work with him. His vision and strategy have been essential for Graydon’s transition and we are therefore grateful for his important contribution.”
