AXA Assistance strengthens UK team

AXA Assistance has promoted Eoin Lyons to chief operating officer from his role as general manager of AXA Assistance in Ireland. Former head of account management, Paul Moloney will assume Lyons’ vacated position, as well as the role of account director for key strategic AXA Assistance UK clients.

“2013 was a very successful year for the AXA Assistance Group as a whole, and also for the UK and Irish subsidiaries. These new appointments complete our senior leadership team structure and demonstrate our commitment to ensuring our UK and Irish operations continue to run as seamlessly as ever,” said Bob Ewers, CEO of AXA Assistance UK & Ireland and White Concierge.

Lyons will retain his responsibility as a non-executive director for AXA Assistance Ireland and continues in his position on the AXA Assistance UK executive committee, is also responsibility for operations at White Concierge, the AXA Assistance Group-owned concierge services business.

He said: “I am delighted to have been appointed COO at AXA Assistance UK and it is a great privilege to work with our dedicated teams across the Redhill, Peterborough and Athlone sites.”

Moloney will take on responsibility for the Irish operations, business development, account management and financial P&L.

He said: “Having been in the assistance industry for 20 years, I’ve seen the business change dramatically and that’s what makes it an exciting place to be. Each year brings new challenges and I am looking forward to bringing my experience to the role of general manager, Ireland, as well as continuing in a client-facing position in the role of account director.”
