AXA replaces Swiss Re as main capacity provider for MGA Ensurance

London-based specialty lines managing general agent has completed a new capacity deal with AXA Insurance UK for its core construction and engineering products.

AXA replaces Swiss Re as the MGA’s main capacity provider, effective from February 1, 2021.

The deal provides ‘AA’ rated capacity to Ensurance.

Tim James, founder and CEO of Ensurance, said: “This is a landmark deal for Ensurance. We have worked hard building our business over the past 3 years, growing our underwriting team, our range of products and reputation within the market. With AXA, we have a capacity partner who shares our ambition to take our business forward to the next phase of our journey.”

“Our brokers can be assured that this new arrangement maintains our position as a go to MGA for UK construction and engineering risk solutions, backed by exceptional rated capacity.”
