AXA XL beefs up its casualty, professional and property teams in Canada with five hires

AXA XL has hired five underwriters to its casualty, professional and property teams in Canada.

Gladys Adams, Joseph Renton and Gary Tobin all join as senior underwriters for casualty. All three report to Liana Martire, head of casualty for Canada.

Charles Benson joins as a senior underwriter for professional liability, reporting to Chris Lawrence, head of professional liability in Canada.

John Hua joins as a senior underwriter for commercial property, reporting to Jennifer Arezes, head of property, construction and energy in Canada.

The appointments are all based in Toronto.

Renato Rodrigues, AXA XL’s country manager and chief executive officer for Canada, said: "We continue to bring together underwriting experts with a true entrepreneurial spirit and a great understanding for the demands that existing and emerging risks bring to our clients and brokers."
