AXA XL hires senior claims adjuster for energy and construction team

AXA XL Insurance has bolstered its energy and construction team by hiring a senior claims adjuster with over 15 years of experience in managing complex multi-disciplinary projects across various fields.

Based in London, the new hire Thérèse Badr will be responsible for managing AXA XL’s large and complex energy and construction claims, working closely with underwriters and engineers on risk reviews and loss assessments.

Most recently, Badr was working as an associate professor designing petroleum engineering curriculum and courses while collaborating with NGOs, government bodies, international associations, and oil and gas companies. Previously, she worked at Braemar Technical Services as a loss adjuster on both onshore and offshore energy claims, and prior to that at Deloitte, advising major oil and gas companies on technical and non-technical issues.

Martin Turner, chief claims officer, UK & Lloyd’s at AXA XL, said: “I’m thrilled to welcome Thérèse to the team. Her extensive knowledge of the energy market will further strengthen our claims proposition for this segment and our delivery of an exceptional claims experience.”
