AXIS appoints new US insurance head

AXIS Capital Holdings has appointed Peter Wilson as its president of US Insurance. He will be responsible for the management of all of the company’s US insurance operations, including the professional lines and property/casualty divisions.

Most recently, Wilson served as president and chief operating officer for CNA Specialty, a unit of CNA Financial Corporation. He will report to AXIS Insurance CEO Jack Gressier.

“I’m very happy to be joining the team at AXIS. Like many in the field, I have watched the company grow in size and expertise, as they have strategically assembled an enviable team of executives. I look forward to working with the Insurance team as we continue to expand the AXIS Insurance franchise,” Wilson said.
