AXIS Re snags Munich Re casualty leader for North American market

AXIS Re, the reinsurance business arm of AXIS Capital Holdings, has hired Munich Re's Michelle Glass as senior underwriter and internally moved Halina Herc to its North America casualty team.

Glass has spent more than 20 years at Munich Re, most recently as senior vice president and casualty team lead. Prior to that, she held underwriting positions at the American International Group (AIG), Interstate International Group, and Crum and Foster with a focus on casualty in the North American market.

Herc joins AXIS Re's North America casualty team from its regional & multi-line team. She has held several underwriting roles at the company since joining in 2002. Previously, she held underwriting roles at Everest Re and Converium in the North American property, casualty and multi-line spaces.
