Barbican appoints property treaty underwriter
London-based Barbican Insurance Group has appointed Nigel Fearon as property treaty underwriter, with immediate effect.
Fearon will report to Aaron Coates, underwriting manager, property reinsurance. He joins Barbican from Chaucer where he worked for the last ten years, most recently as international deputy class underwriter (property).
"We are delighted to be bringing on board such an experienced international property underwriter,” said Coates.
“During his career, Nigel has established an extensive network of relationships across numerous territories, and has gained a reputation for securing long-term partnerships with both brokers and clients alike, as well as being able to identify and capitalise on new business opportunities.”
Fearon added: “I am very pleased to be joining the property team at Barbican. They have a very dynamic and responsive approach to underwriting, and are known for their ability to deliver flexible and innovative reinsurance solutions.
