Berkshire Hathaway hires CNA SVP
Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has appointed Tom Kocaj as vice president and head of financial institutions, executive and professional lines. He will be based in New York.
Kocaj previously led the financial institutions business of CNA, most recently serving as senior vice president (SVP), financial institutions. He began his career at Continental Insurance Company, which was later acquired by CNA.
"This appointment underscores our commitment to bringing industry-leading focus to the risks of financial institutions," said Dan Fortin, SVP, executive and professional lines, BHSI. "Under Tom’s leadership, we will continue to expand the products and services we bring to this sector -- and provide seamless access not only to management and professional liability products, but to our portfolio of property and casualty solutions as well."
