BHSI hires former Chubb manager and senior underwriter

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance Company (BHSI) has appointed Daniel Kenny as head of accident and health (A&H) and Shaun Higgerson as senior underwriter after introducing a full suite of A&H insurance products.

Kenny has 20 years of insurance industry experience and previously worked at Chubb Insurance Company in Australia as its national manager, broker market and A&H.

Higgerson also previously worked for Chubb Insurance where he was most recently senior development underwriter.

Chris Colahan, BHSI president for Australasia, said: “Our A&H solutions will be distinguished by our innovative underwriting and deployment of technology to enhance worker wellness and benefits, while lowering employer costs.”

The BHSI A&H product line includes insurance for travel, group personal accident, expatriate, inpatriate, journey and voluntary workers.
