Blenheim Underwriting Limited (Syndicate 5886) has launched its accident and health and specialty reinsurance divisions as part of its recently approved 2018 business plan, according to a Nov. 1 statement.
As part of the move, Blenheim has appointed Nick Faux to develop its accident and health portfolio. Blenheim has also appointed Stephanie Hunt to its specialty reinsurance division, which will be managed by John Cutts, following his arrival in June 2018. Faux and Hunt take up their roles with immediate effect.
Faux brings two decades of underwriting and broking experience to Blenheim. He joins from Munich Re where he served as accident and health and contingency underwriter.
Hunt brings twelve years of industry experience to Blenheim. She joins from Tamesis Dual, where she was responsible for underwriting specialty reinsurance across marine and composite business lines. In this role, she was instrumental in building a multi-line specialty reinsurance portfolio spanning marine, aviation and property.
John Hamblin, active underwriter of Blenheim Syndicate 5886, said: “We are delighted to announce the arrival of both Nick and Stephanie, and the launch of our accident and health and specialty reinsurance divisions. We have long viewed accident and health and specialty reinsurance as key classes in our long-term business plan.”
Blenheim syndicate 5886 is managed by Asta and commenced underwriting at the beginning of this year.
