BMS taps Guy Carp to boost cat analytics offering

BMS Re has recruited a senior executive from Guy Carpenter to boost its catastrophe analytics unity.

Scott Christian (pictured) joins as executive vice president of catastrophe analytics, reporting to the firm’s global head of analytics, Kirk Conrad.

Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Christian brings over 19 years of catastrophe and risk management experience and joins BMS Re from his most recent position as senior vice president, catastrophe team lead at Guy Carpenter.

He has held several senior roles in the industry, including as vice president, predictive analytics at Tower Hill Insurance Group, and vice president, head of accumulation at AXIS Insurance.

Christian began his career as a Risk Analyst at Aon Benfield in 2002, where he held several roles in the risk management division and was promoted to director in 2010.
