Brit Global Specialty USA expands programmes business with Hartford hire

Specialty re/insurer Brit has appointed Tracy Wade as vice president of programmes for Brit Global Specialty USA (BGSU).

Wade joins Brit from Maxum Specialty, now part of the Hartford Insurance Group, where she spent over 10 years in a number of senior executive roles, most recently as chief operating officer and head of distribution. Prior to that, Wade held senior marketing positions at Old Mutual and Fidelity Bank.

Wade will be based in Alpharetta, Georgia and be responsible for developing BGSU’s specialty programme offering and identifying future opportunities for growth, working closely with prospective MGAs.

She will report to Tim Chesson, senior vice president, programmes.

Nick Davies, president of Brit Americas, said: “Tracy is an excellent addition to our Programs team who are focused on developing niche opportunities in a strategic growth segment for us. She brings with her a depth of experience and relationships that provide the perfect complement to our bench strength in the US programs market.
