Brit poaches Amlin UK property team
Brit Group has hired three senior underwriters from Amlin in an attempt to develop a new UK property portfolio.
David Hancock will join as head of UK Property while Andy Camber and Andrew Ravenscroft will join as class underwriters, reporting to Hancock. All three previously worked for Amlin.
The new account, written from London, will form part of the Brit Global Speciality Property Facilities Division led by Christiern Dart.

Hancock has over 25 years’ experience within the insurance sector. He started his career at Royal Insurance (UK) and has since held underwriting management roles at Norwich Union Insurance, Zurich and most recently at Amlin UK.
Camber has over 17 years’ experience specialising in the UK Property Market. He has held underwriting roles in both Norwich Union Insurance Company within the Property Owner’s team, and Zurich within the Property Investors team focusing on UK and multi-national business. Since 2009, he has held the position of lead class underwriter in the UK Property Owners Team at Amlin UK.
Ravenscroft has over 12 years’ experience with a strong emphasis on business development. He has held underwriting roles within the Property Investors team at both Zurich and Amlin UK. Most recently Andrew has successfully grown the Amlin UK Property Household account as leading class underwriter.
