Brown & Brown Q2 organic revenues up 5.2%

US-based re/insurance broker Brown & Brown has increased organic revenue by 5.2 percent year on year in the second quarter of 2018 to $472.7 million on an adjusted basis and excluding a new revenue standard.

Total revenues in the second quarter were up 7.3 percent year on year at $500.3 million on the same basis.

Commissions and fees increased to $455.5 million from $449.8 million over the period.

"Our business continues to perform well, and we are pleased with our strong organic growth and our new acquisitions for this quarter and year to date," said CEO J. Powell Brown.
