CAC Specialty draws JLT senior vice president for financial lines

Specialty insurance brokerage and investment banking business CAC Specialty has strengthened its financial lines legal and claims practice group with the appointment of a senior JLT executive.

Carrie O’Neil joins as senior vice president in its financial lines legal and claims practice, based in Denver. She has experience on both the brokerage and insurer sides of the insurance industry.

Most recently, O’Neil was a senior vice president at JLT Specialty. Prior to joining JLT, she was a product development specialist for Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance, where she was charged with negotiating and drafting management and professional policy wording for BHSI’s insureds. Before working on the insurer side of the business, O’Neil was a managing director at Aon, serving as its financial services group’s D&O and fiduciary practice leader.

John Tanner, chief legal officer and claims leader, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Carrie to CAC Specialty. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our Financial Lines Practice, particularly in the areas of drafting policy language and advocating for clients during the claims process.”

Bain Head, EVP and founder of the CAC Women’s Development Network, added: “Carrie exemplifies the professionalism and expertise CAC brings to our clients and insurer partners. We are committed to being the employer of choice for top talent in the industry and thrilled to add one of the most well-respected women in our industry to the CAC team.”
