CAC Specialty draws senior talent to boost natural resources practice

Specialty insurance brokerage and investment banking business  CAC Specialty has tapped two senior leaders to strengthen its natural resources practice.

Trey Kellett (Pictured) joins CAC's natural resources team as a senior vice president, power & renewables, and Alec Pratt as a vice president, mining & metals.

Kellett has extensive knowledge of climate technologies having previously served as the director of commercial development at Breakthrough Energy, where he accelerated the deployment of critical climate technologies by funding early commercial-scale projects.

Prior to joining CAC Specialty, Pratt was a commercial relationship manager at CIBC with a focus on the industrial need for precious metals.

“Our Natural Resources team continues to attract top talent, like Trey and Alec. Their addition offers yet another layer of proven expertise and industry innovation to our clients,” said Erin Lynch, president of CAC Specialty Natural Resources.

“We have two of the brightest minds in the industry joining our team, supporting our mission to increase collaboration between the various segments of the natural resources industry: oil and gas, mining and metals, traditional power generation, utilities, renewable and clean energy technologies. We are thrilled to have them bolster the value we bring to our clients each day,” he added.
