Capita appoints corporate insurance boss

Capita Insurance has appointed Colin Grint as chief executive, corporate insurance, with effect from April 7, 2014.

Grint has been with Capita since April 2013. He has advised Lloyd’s of London on the Central Services Refresh Programme as a broker adviser.

Previously, Grint was at Marsh where he held a number of senior broking and operational roles including head of UK Operations.

He will be focussed on extending the business into new areas and growing its size and scope. Grint will be supported by Capita’s existing broker and carrier services led by Karen Clements. He will also be responsible for the MGA business, led by executive director of MGAs, John Holm and the Capita Managing Agency under the leadership of its chief executive officer Iain Bremner.

Vic Gysin, joint chief operating officer of Capita, said: “Capita Insurance Services has seen significant development and innovation in its corporate insurance business in recent years, Colin’s appointment reaffirms Capita’s commitment to support and invest in this industry.  I am certain that under Colin’s leadership the range of insurance entities we will work with and the services we offer to them will substantially develop and grow.”
