Capita hires director of business development

Capita Insurance Services has hired a director of business development.

Danny Maleary has worked in the London insurance market for 27 years with the last 12 years in a business development and marketing role. He has spent the last two years running his own company, JTC Business Development Solutions.

Maleary will report to Karen Clements, chief executive insurance and regulatory services division and will be based in Capita Insurance Services’s London office. He will be responsible for generating new business opportunities and developing Capita’s insurance offering across new and existing clients.  He will work alongside the existing team and Colin Grint, newly appointed chief executive of corporate insurance.

Before forming his own business, Maleary was business development manager at Randall & Quilter Investment Holdings, where he worked with the CEO and business unit heads in developing growth opportunities in the company’s Lloyd’s underwriting (MGAs), captive and live market services platforms. He has also held senior positions with Axiom Consulting Limited (now CTIS) and Aon, where he began his career.
