CFC unveils alternative to Pool Re
Specialist lines underwriting agency CFC has launched a standalone terrorism policy in the UK, as it seeks to provide an alternative to Pool Re.
The policy offers businesses broad terrorism and sabotage coverage, including protection against lone wolf style attacks and the capacity for zone A risks such as the City of London.
According to CFC, the coverage offers a more cost-effective alternative to Pool Re, the mutual reinsurer that provides terrorism cover for commercial property in the UK.
Ben Atkins, CFC UK terrorism underwriter, said: “With recent global events, the threat of a terrorist attack is sadly greater than ever before. Recognising this increase in exposure, it is extremely important for clients to evaluate their current property policies and associated terrorism cover.
“That's why we've decided to extend our popular standalone terrorism policy into the UK market. A serious alternative to Pool Re, our policy is often a much more cost effective way for clients to plug the terrorism gap. Other standout features include our follow form wording, limits of up to £75 million per risk, and a quick 24-turnaround. All locations are considered, including those situated in Central London.”
