Chancery Capital hires head of underwriting
Chancery Capital has hired Tobey Butcher as head of underwriting. He joins from Enyo Law.
Butcher is a litigator and specialises in commercial dispute resolution. He qualified at Charles Russell where he was a member of the Insurance and Reinsurance Group for a number of years. He joined Addleshaw Goddard in 2008 and Enyo Law, upon formation in 2010.
Butcher said: “I felt the time was right for a new challenge and have been involved with matters in the past where I have worked with some of the Chancery team, so I know them well and how they are changing things in this market. I am delighted to be joining a litigation finance offering, bringing something new and different to the market.”
Chancery CEO Nick Rowles-Davies said: ”As we expand our team in London, Tobey brings great experience as our Head of Underwriting. I have known Tobey for many years and I am very pleased that he has agreed to join us.”
