Charles Taylor swoops on AXA XL for group chief commercial officer

Insurance services firm  Charles Taylor has hired the former chief commercial officer of  AXA to lead its commercial activity globally, including client engagement, business development and marketing.

John Pickersgill has been appointed to the newly-created role of group chief commercial officer, as well as a member of Charles Taylor's executive committee.

Pickersgill has over 25 years of experience in senior and international roles, previously leading global sales/distribution and marketing functions; commercial underwriting, claims and client service teams.

He joins Charles Taylor from AXA XL where he served as head of global client management, and previously as chief commercial officer for AXA Corporate Solutions.
