Chaucer boosts China presence with hire

Chaucer, the specialist Lloyd’s insurance group, has hired an executive who previously worked for Willis Re and Standard & Poor’s in China to represent it on the Lloyd’s China Platform in Shanghai.

Raina Li will be an employee of the Lloyd’s Insurance Company (China). She will have responsibility for all business written on behalf of Chaucer Syndicate 1084 and Nuclear Syndicate 1176.

Li will also work closely with Margaret To, Chaucer’s regional development director for Asia.

Andrew Voke, head of 1084 production, said: “I am pleased to welcome Raina to Chaucer. Being represented on the Lloyd’s China Platform will support the development of our business in the region and provide a key resource for all our activities in China.”
