Chaucer hires two Markel underwriters to expand accident/health team
Chaucer, an insurance group underwriting at Lloyd’s, has expanded it accident/health capabilities with the appointment of Mike Bridgeman and Amelia Fenton to join the team as underwriters in London.
The expanded team will write standard and specialist products, providing death, disability, medical and ancillary benefits.
The Team will write standard and specialist products providing death, disability, medical and ancillary benefits for a range of groups and individuals, including schemes and affinity groups.
The accident/health team will also provide a market capability for brokers and cover holders, working in partnership with them to deliver standard and bespoke solutions.
It has an initial focus on UK, North America and Australia business, as well as developing opportunities in the Scandinavian, South America, Middle Eastern and European markets.
Bridgeman most recently served as an accident and health undewriter at Markel, which he joined in 2010.
Prior to this, he held the position of head of accident and health at QBE International.
Fenton also joins from Markel, having recently served as an accident and health underwriter.
Prior to Markel, she served as an underwriting assistant at Alterra at Lloyd's.
