Chaucer poaches Aon exec for underwriter role

Chaucer, the specialist Lloyd’s insurance group, has appointed Peter Lewis as renewable energy underwriter to lead Chaucer’s commitment to worldwide renewable energy business.

Lewis has more than 10 years of energy market experience as a renewable energy broker. He joins Chaucer’s energy division from Aon, where he was director of its renewable energy division and a member of the Power Executive Committee.

Kelan Hunt, energy practice head at Chaucer, said: “As well as bringing his extensive renewables knowledge to the Chaucer energy team, Peter also provides us with an invaluable broking perspective and both will enhance our offering to our brokers and clients. I welcome Peter to the team.”
