Lloyd’s insurer Chaucer has appointed Robert Callan as chief financial officer (CFO) of Chaucer Syndicates.
Callan will be responsible for the development and implementation of Chaucer’s financial strategy. He will be a member of the Chaucer Syndicates board and will report directly to the chief executive officer, Johan Slabbert.
He joins from Catlin, where most recently he served as UK CFO. Prior to this, he served as head of UK finance at Aon.
Slabbert said: “Rob is an outstanding CFO with a sought after combination of in-depth financial expertise and insurance leadership experience. He is a great addition to Chaucer’s board and management team and we look forward to working with Rob on the strategic development of our business.”
