Chubb appoints new Asia head of power and utilities

Property/casualty insurer Chubb has appointed Titus Samuel as the new head of power and utilities for Asia.

Based in Singapore, Samuel will report to the head of power and energy for Asia Pacific Mick Peacock.

Prior to this, Samuel was Chubb's power risk engineer for Asia, a position he has held for seven years. He has undertaken extensive risk management work on operational facilities and construction projects across a broad spectrum of power generation, oil & gas as well as petrochemical facilities in the Asia Pacific region.

"Power Generation continues to be a pivotal component of our Technical Lines portfolio," Peacock commented. "Titus has extensive technical capabilities and experience in the energy industry as well as success in building strong relationships with clients and brokers. He will be an invaluable asset as we continue to drive and grow our Power Gen portfolio in Asia."
