Chubb poaches RSA exec for environment risk role
Insurance firm Chubb has appointed Matthew Mead as environmental risk underwriter, as it continues to invest in building its environmental risk and liability insurance capabilities in the UK and Ireland.
Mead will be responsible for growing Chubb’s regional environmental liability book, working predominantly with brokers outside London to develop environmental liability programmes. He will be based in Manchester and report to Robert Latimer, regional environmental risk underwriter, UK and Ireland.
Mead joins Chubb from RSA where he was an underwriter for seven years, focusing on e-trading and delegated authority business.
Emma Bartolo, UK and Ireland environmental risk manager, said: “With demand for environmental risk solutions continuing to increase across our local network and offices in the UK and Ireland, we are constantly looking at ways to further enhance our proposition to our clients and brokers.
“As we continue to grow the range of covers available, Matt’s appointment will enable us to continue to further build our regional UK and Ireland presence and offer our clients the market leading service and covers they have come to expect.”
