Cincinnati Re boosts team with Endurance Re & Ace execs

The Cincinnati Insurance Company has strengthened its newly expanded reinsurance assumed initiative, Cincinnati Re, with two senior executives.

John Davis has been appointed as managing director, head of casualty reinsurance and will oversee the strategic direction, underwriting and marketing of the company's casualty reinsurance assumed portfolio.

He joins from Endurance Re, where most recently he served as head of North American casualty treaty reinsurance.

Paul LeStourgeon has been appointed as managing director and head of reinsurance analytics. He will oversee the reinsurance assumed actuarial and catastrophe modelling analytics.

LeStourgeon joins from ACE, where most recently he served as senior vice president and actuary within Ace risk management’s global casualty and construction business.

James Hole, managing director, head of Cincinnati Re, said: "John and Paul both possess skills that complement our current team. The depth of their reinsurance experience and broad industry knowledge will help us realise profitable long-term opportunities as we focus on building relationships and maintaining underwriting discipline."

Cincinnati Insurance Company has been expanding its reinsurance assumed operations since April.
