CNA Hardy appoints CEO of new Brexit unit in Luxembourg
CNA Hardy, a specialist commercial insurance provider for clients within the Lloyd's market, has appointed Stuart Middleton as CEO of its Luxembourg subsidiary.
Middleton has held numerous leadership roles including chief underwriting officer (CUO), Europe at Hiscox and most recently, CUO and joint managing director of EXIN's wholesale division, based in Barcelona.
CNA Hardy had earlier revealed that it is launching a new European subsidiary in Luxembourg after Brexit. The process of establishment is already underway, and expected to be complete by early 2019.
Reporting to CEO Dave Brosnan, Middleton will be responsible for building out CNA Hardy's operations and capabilities across Europe. Middleton will also recruit a local management team to oversee its risk, finance and compliance functions in Luxembourg.

"We are delighted that we can leverage both his underwriting expertise as well as his strong broker relationships to build out our proposition and capabilities across the Continent in this manner."
