Consilium gets license to operate in Jersey

Re/insurance broker  Consilium, part of the Aventum Group, has obtained a license by the Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC) to provide local insurance broking counsel to professional and financial lines (FL) firms in Jersey.

Consilium already has a license to operate in Guernsey and last year opened a Guernsey office with a number of FL brokers including Nick Bachmann and Neal Hughes, both managing partners at Consilium.

Paul Richards (pictured), joint CEO of Consilium, said: “Thanks must go to the JFSC for their support throughout the application process. We’re delighted to now add Jersey to our Channel Island portfolio and we look forward to developing new relationships and supporting existing clients on the island.

“Serving the international financial services community is a key part of our strategy which is why we have invested heavily in this area. Consilium now has the most experienced broking team working in the international financial centres and the investment management community. They understand the particular needs of Jersey-based firms and will be managing professional and financial lines and cyber insurance globally for direct policyholder clients and retail and wholesale broking partners across the Channel Islands."
