DAS UK Group hires Enrique Gomez from RSA

DAS UK Group, a provider of legal expenses insurance, has appointed Enrique Gomez as its new Head of ATE (After The Event) insurance, effective immediately.

Gomez will be based in London and reports directly to James Henderson, managing director insurance UK & Ireland. He is responsible for the continued development of the ATE division of the DAS UK Group.

Gomez has over 15 years’ experience within insurance and joins DAS from RSA where was Director of SME (small & medium-sized enterprises) deals. Prior to this he held a number of leadership roles at RSA, including business manager of SME volume brokers, strategy manager of global speciality lines and global network manager.

Commenting on the appointment, James Henderson said: “The legal market is in a constant state of flux and it is imperative that ATE providers also change and adapt.

“After conducting a thorough search for this position, we believe bringing in experience and talent from outside the ATE market to drive this change will enable us to remain dynamic and flexible in our approach to deliver innovative solutions for our customers, now and in the future.

“ATE insurance is a key part of the DAS UK Group’s activities and this appointment is a clear statement of our long term commitment to the ATE market.”
