DUAL appoints head of M&A from Zurich

Hyperion Insurance Group's underwriting arm DUAL has appointed Justin Ansell as head of mergers & acquisitions, UK. He most recently as served as head of M&A insurance at Zurich Insurance in London.

Ansell has over 20 years’ experience in the M&A insurance market and corporate law.

Richard Clapham, CUO, DUAL International and CEO, DUAL Europe, said: “I am delighted to welcome Justin to DUAL; his experience will undoubtedly strengthen our position in the London M&A market as well as bringing wider expertise to other related financial products. Justin will also be working closely with DUAL’s European M&A Specialty and Asset Underwriting teams enhancing our ability to craft innovative client solutions.”

In addition to this announcement, the company has also appointed Mark Smith as director of corporate development, based in London.

Smith has over 20 years’ banking experience, including 16 years at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson and five years at Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, where he was an MD in the investment bank and head of European Equity Capital Markets.
