EC3\Legal promotes former BRIT exec

UK law firm EC3\Legal has appointed Ian D’Castro as a partner in direct response to growth in the insurance sector.

D’Castro joined EC3\Legal in September 2013 and has over 20 years’ experience in the insurance industry both on the underwriting side with BRIT Insurance (as head of legal), with ACE and more recently at Sterling Insurance, and also on the broking side with Aon.

He was involved with all corporate and commercial legal matters relating to BRIT Syndicate 2987, ranging from insurance portfolio transfers to company sponsorship deals.
