Ecclesiastical hires Lloyd’s exec

Specialist insurer Ecclesiastical has appointed Will Curtis as claims risk manager within its UK general insurance business.

Curtis will report to Ecclesiastical’s claims director David Bonehill and have responsibility forthe strategic management of risks within the insurer’s claims department.

Curtis joins from the Corporation of Lloyd’s, where he most recently held the role of senior claims manager, projects within the Corporation's performance management directorate.

Before joining Lloyd’s in 2010, he worked for Catlin Underwriting Services in a number of claims roles.

David Bonehill, Ecclesiastical’s claims director, said: “This appointment plays a crucial role in Ecclesiastical further strengthening its claims service to its customers and in developing our claims risk management capabilities for the future. He will be a great addition to the existing team and his expertise will perfectly complement the skills of the current claims leadership team.
