Ed expands professional and executive risk team

Reinsurance, wholesale and specialty broker Ed has appointed Michael Lock as divisional director in its professional and executive risk team. Lock has over 10 years of transactions experience, having spent the past five years...

...investing either directly for private equity funds or as part of buy and build programmes for their portfolio companies.

Ed said his financial acumen and private equity expertise will provide invaluable support in offering insurance solutions for M&A transactions, including warranty and indemnity, tax liability and contingent liability.

Lock will report to Niraj Perera, head of transactional risk.

Perera commented: “Michael’s appointment closely follows the arrival of Robert Coward and evidences Ed’s continued expansion of our bespoke transactional risks offering. Despite the current economic climate, Ed has a strong focus on the M&A market, and continuing to hire and invest in the best industry talent means that we can provide top-tier support and advice to our clients.

"Michael’s UK and international investment expertise and experience working on M&A transactions will be an asset to our team, as we deliver specialty solutions to our private equity, legal and corporate clients.”
