Ed launches transactional risk team under Gallagher hire

London-based reinsurance, wholesale and specialty broker Ed has appointed Niraj Perera as head of transactional risk in its professional and executive risk team.

Perera will focus on providing bespoke insurance solutions in M&A transactions including warranty & indemnity, tax liability and contingent liability. He has more than 20 years’ experience in the insurance industry with a particular recent focus on M&A insurance, advising on multiple transactions globally.

Perera joins from Arthur J Gallagher and has held previous roles at Willis and Marsh.
