Endurance hires specialist from CNA
Endurance Specialty Holdings has hired Stuart Pattison to lead its US law firm practice. He joins from CNA Insurance where, from 2000 to 2013, he served as both an underwriter and as the leader of CNA’s large law firm group.
This specialty team will offer both primary and excess liability coverage to mid-size to large law firms, operating within the EndurancePro business unit headed by Daniel Wadley, executive vice president.

By hiring seasoned insurance leaders to serve targeted industry sectors such as law firms, we believe that we can better serve our clients, providing them with appropriate liability coverage as well as risk management resources.”
Pattison started his career in 1973 at JH Minet [Canada], where he was a broker for major law firms as well as other professional firms. At Minet and its successor firm Aon, he was practice leader of the Professional Services Group, the largest broker in the US for this class of business.
As such, he was involved in the creation and operation of a number of captive insurance companies which to this day insure major New York and California law firms.
